Welcome to the site!
Ah yes, the obligatory welcome post. I’ve spent days sitting here, trying to think up something incredibly insightful… something visionary that will change the way we think about marketing for the rest of history. Alas, I couldn’t think of a damn thing, but that image is kind of freaky and should at least keep your attention for a second or two.
Ultimately we want this blog to be a great place to visit for anyone who wants to learn and talk about any aspect of PR, marketing, social media, journalism, advertising… anything related to how companies interact with the public. In the past few years, as the Internet (do we really need to capitalize that thing?) has made its way into more and more homes, and as sites like Facebook and Twitter have firmly ingrained themselves into the daily routines of many, marketers have had to adapt in order to effectively reach their customers. Hopefully we can provide some interesting insight into the continued evolution of marketing as it all becomes much more about personal interaction than just throwing money at ad agencies and expecting record sales.
The next few weeks will be the blog’s baby phase, as we do little more than poop and roll around on the ground, trying to get into the rhythm of things. In the meantime, if you notice any problems with the site or have suggestions for features or discussion topics, let us know via the comments or email us at info-at-evolutionofpr.com.
Cheers,
Tom

Tom, I like this experiment. I’ll see if I can navigate the PR-journalist waters with a post or two. Looking forward to more freaky baby pictures!
